MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541022763 A) filed by Ashok Leyland Limited Hm on March 13, 2025, for A Fuel Cell System And A Cooling System For Mines Application.
Inventors include Dr. Karthikeyan; Mr. Hari Baskar; and Dr. Gopi Sankar.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: A fuel cell system according to the present invention comprises a proton exchange membrane fuel cell (1); a cooling assembly (C) communicatively and fluidically connected to the proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell (1). The fuel cell system further includes a radiator (16) adapted with a coolant filter (13) mounted at the radiator (16) outlet to fuel cell (1), an ion exchanger assembly having ion exchanger (17) positioned at the level of tank (18), a plurality of hoses (21) to connect suction pipe (14), return pipe (15), ion exchanger pipe (19) from radiator (16) and return pipe (20) from ion exchanger (17) to tank (18) and a radiator shield (22) mounted at frontal end of radiator (16). The radiator (16) is configured to be brazed using a non-hygroscopic flux which prevents melting the base material and allows melting the brazing alloys only and retains the base material in its solid phase throughout its operations. The radiator shield (22) is configured with an asymmetric hexagonal configuration and a plurality of hoses (21) are platinum (Pt) cured silicone hoses that withstand rapid and higher temperature changes.
