Abstract: A front panel assembly (100) for a split air conditioner includes a movable panel (110) having a panel member (110a) and an offset portion (110b) laterally offset from the panel member (110a) by an orthogonal wall (112). The orthogonal wall (112) and ribs (114, 116, 118) protruding from the offset portion (110b) define a housing (110c). A light-guiding panel (120) is attached to the movable panel (110) and forms a front fascia. The light-guiding panel (120) includes a resting rib (122) that resides over a first rib (114). A printed circuit board (130) is received in the housing (110c) between the first rib (114) and second rib (116) and includes light sources (132). A clearance gap is maintained between the light sources (132) and the light-guiding panel (120).
