Abstract: The present invention is related to a frequency-responsive sacrificial fastener inserts for automated selective disassembly and material recovery discloses a frequency- responsive sacrificial insert (100) for automated selective disassembly and material recovery from a multi-material product assembly (400). The insert (100) comprises a susceptor-doped polymer matrix (102), a color-coded identification surface (103), engineered internal microvoids (104), a threaded core interface (105), a fragmentation-ready geometry (106), and an anchoring flange (107) configured to retain a metallic fastener (101) during the operational life of the product. An industrial deconstruction stimulator (401) generates a tuned resonant stimulus (402) directed to a targeted fragmentation zone (403), causing the insert (100) to selectively fragment into particulate debris (108). The process enables rapid release and recovery of metallic fasteners (101) while preserving the integrity of surrounding materials. The color-coded identification surface (103) facilitates automatic selection of the appropriate trigger frequency, thereby supporting automated recycling operations, high-purity material recovery, reduced disassembly time, and sustainable circular economy practices.
