MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641062499 A) filed by B. S Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute Of Science And Technology on May 18, 2026, for A Formulation Of Silica Nanoparticles Using Triphala Powder Extract For Enhanced Plant Growth.

Abstract: The present subject matter is a formulation for enhancing plant growth. Triphala, a well-known polyherbal formulation consisting of Emblica officinalis, Terminalia bellerica, and Terminalia chebula, is rich in bioactive compounds including gallic acid, ellagic acid, and ascorbic acid. These compounds are capable of facilitating nanoparticle synthesis while imparting additional biological benefits. The formulation comprises silica nanoparticles capped with the Triphala powder extract. The method of preparation of the formulation comprises preparation of the Triphala powder extract, and preparation of the silica nanoparticles using the Triphala powder extract, Tetra ethyl ortho Silicate and hydrochloric acid.
