Abstract: A formulation for stimulating plant growth and method of synthesis thereof are disclosed. Said formulation broadly comprises: castor cake slurry; and an activated enzyme. Concentration of said castor cake slurry is about 10% (W/V). Said activated enzyme broadly comprises: papain; and L-cysteine. Said papain and said L- cysteine are in a weight ratio of about 1:0.875. The disclosed plant growth stimulating formulation offers at least the following advantages and effects: is simple; is cost- effective; improves soil fertility; reduces dependency on synthetic fertilisers; improved plant height, leaf length, leaf breadth, number of pods, resulting in improved yield; improved photochemical efficiency; and/or offers improved stability for commercial use.
