MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511017907 A) filed by Council Of Scientific And Industrial Research An Indian Registered Body Incorporated Under The Regn. Of Soc. Act Act Xxi Of on February 28, 2025, for A Floating Adjustable Polarity High Voltage Trigger Pulse Supply For Terahertz-Based Non-Destructive Evaluation System.
Inventors include Ranjan Aashish; Abhishek Anand; and Kumar Niraj.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: A floating adjustable polarity high voltage trigger pulse supply comprises at least a voltage conversion unit 2, at least a pulse generation unit 3, at least a switching pulse generation unit 4, at least a floating pulse generation unit 5. The present invention provides enhanced controllability in pulse generation and can offer adequate power handling capacity to meet the dynamic power demands of THz-based NDE systems. The present invention uses a minimal number of switching devices and components, resulting in a highly compact and portable trigger pulse supply with higher reliability. The present invention using a single switching device for pulse generation and reduce switching and conduction losses as well as enhances the possibility of obtaining a desirable pulse shape with less distortion. The polarity of the generated high-voltage pulses are adjustable and pulse are of duration of 200 ns in a negative high voltage pulse.
