Abstract: The development of biomaterials that provide therapeutic stimulation with diagnostic capability is a promising frontier in cancer treatment. The present invention relates to a process for synthesising an electrically stimulating and cancer cell-sensing thin film based on a MoTiC2-g-CON nanocomposite for biomedical applications. The process involves the synthesis of MoTiC2 MXene, followed by the incorporation of g-CON and polycaprolactone (PCL) to form flexible thin films using a solution-casting technique. The resulting films exhibit a uniform morphology, improved electrical conductivity, mechanical flexibility and biocompatibility. The thin films were analysed using XRD, BET, FTIR, SEM, AFM, Raman spectroscopy and electrical conductivity measurements. The thin film served as an electrochemical sensing platform for detecting cancer cells. The process provides a simple, reproducible, scalable and cost-effective biosensing platform for the early diagnosis of cancer and point-of-care biomedical applications. This work represents a novel nanocomposite-based thin film platform that bridges bioelectronics and oncology, paving the way for next-generation implantable theranostic devices.
