MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611090753 A) filed by Chitkara University on July 25, 2026, for A Fire-Preventive Electrical Socket System With Multi-Parameter Fault Detection And Dual-Stage Auto-Isolation.
Inventors include Satyajit Anand; Rajneesh Talwar; and Manvinder Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The present invention fire-preventive electrical socket system (100) comprises a fire-resistant housing (102), input terminals (104), an output receptacle (106), a current sensor (108), a voltage sensor (110), contact-mounted thermal sensors (112, 114), and an arc detection module (116). A microcontroller (120) receives synchronized electrical and thermal measurements and executes contact resistance estimator (124) and a fault fusion engine (126). An independent analog hardware trip circuit (122) initiates interruption when a catastrophic threshold is exceeded. A two-stage isolation assembly (128), including a solid-state isolation switch (132) and a double-pole electromechanical relay (130), interrupts current rapidly and thereafter provides galvanic separation. A downstream voltage verification circuit (136) confirms successful isolation and detects welded relay contacts. A wireless communication module (138), local alert unit (140), and non-volatile event memory (142) provide warnings and traceability. A reset interlock (144) prevents re-energisation until temperature, arc, voltage, current, and isolation checks satisfy stored safety limits. (Accompanied Figure No. 1 to 5)
