The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is finger sealing assembly (100) with labyrinth effect for controlling leakage, comprising a rotor (102) configured to rotate about an axis. The sealing assembly (100) comprising a seal housing (104) stationery outer casing. The sealing assembly (100) also comprising a tapered pad surface (106) mounted within the seal housing (104), and the tapered pad surface (106) having a tapered profile along an axial direction of the rotor (102) and forming a primary sealing interface. The sealing assembly (100) also comprising a plurality of flexible finger elements with fins (108) arranged circumferentially along the tapered pad surface (106) and extending radially inward toward the outer surface (110) of the rotor (102), and the flexible finger elements with fins (108) configured to define a clearance gap between the tapered pad surface (106) and the rotor (102). The flexible finger elements with fins (108) forms a secondary sealing interface.
