MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641076345 A) filed by Sr University on June 19, 2026, for A Federated Self-Supervised Multimodal Transformer-Based Privacy-Preserving System For Early Detection Of Pancreatic Tumours.
Inventors include Mr. Shashank Kotturi; and Dr. Raveendrababu Vempati.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is a federated self-supervised multimodal transformer-based privacy-preserving system (100) for early detection of pancreatic tumours, the system (100) comprises a data acquisition module (102) configured to receive medical imaging data. A self-supervised representation learning module (104) configured to learn latent feature representations from the received medical imaging data. A multimodal transformer architecture module (106) comprising transformer encoders. A federated learning module (108) configured to facilitate distributed training of local machine learning models. A privacy-preserving communication module (110) configured to securely transmit model parameters, gradients or weight updates. A secure aggregation module (112) configured to aggregate encrypted model updates received from the plurality of medical nodes. A model redistribution module (114) configured to distribute the updated global model. A tumour detection and classification module (116) configured to process the unified multimodal feature representations.
