Abstract: A FAR-SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE AND AN ASSEMBLY METHOD THEREOF The disclosure herein relates to a far-side airbag assembly (100) for the vehicle and an assembly method (200) thereof. The far-side airbag (100) includes an inflator (102) that is mounted on a back (12B) of a seat structure (12) of a seat (10), an airbag (104) connected to the inflator, and a connecting member (106) connecting the inflator with an electronic control unit (ECU) of the vehicle to operate the inflator for deploying the airbag when a vehicle-impact event is detected. The airbag is stowed in the seat in a folded state such that a first folded portion (104A) and second folded portion (104B) of the airbag (104) are disposed towards the back and a side surface (12S) of the seat structure, respectively. The assembly and method improve vehicle aesthetics without affecting the airbag’s functionality. Fig. 1
