Abstract: This invention presents an AI and IoT-based dynamic shelf-life monitoring and adaptive routing system designed to revolutionize the perishable food supply chain. Traditional logistics systems struggle with food wastage due to their reliance on static expiration dates and basic temperature tracking. The proposed system overcomes these limitations by establishing an integrated network consisting of smart food monitoring nodes, a cloud-based artificial intelligence processing unit, and an adaptive logistics and routing module. Mounted on food containers, the smart node continuously tracks degradation indicators, including temperature, humidity, volatile gases, and mechanical shocks. These parameters are transmitted wirelessly to a cloud server, where a specialized machine learning engine processes them alongside historical sales and product characteristics to dynamically calculate remaining shelf life. Based on these real-time calculations, the system autonomously alters shipping routes, redirects inventory to optimal markets, applies dynamic discounts, or flags items for donation, ensuring maximum utilization and minimal waste.
