Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION Title: A DYNAMIC CONSTRAINT-DRIVEN AUTOMATED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REAL-TIME TEACHING WORKLOAD REALLOCATION IN ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS The invention relates to a dynamic, constraint-driven, computer-implemented automated system and method (Figure 1) that converts a faculty leave event in an academic institution into a real-time, equitable reallocation of the affected teaching duties to substitute faculty, thereby replacing manual coordination, eliminating human bias and uneven workload distribution, and reducing administrative effort during sudden or short- notice absences. The system comprises a faculty client module (101), a substitute candidate client module (102) and an HOD/administrator monitoring and approval interface (103) communicating through an authentication and role-based access control module (104) with a web/application server and API gateway (105), an application logic layer comprising a leave-event detector (106), a constraint evaluation engine (107) that filters eligible candidates by subject compatibility, real-time timetable availability and institutional rules (110)-(113), a workload optimisation engine (108) that ranks eligible candidates by ascending active teaching load (112), and a concurrency-aware transaction manager (109) that enforces transaction-level exclusive locking on each affected class slot during candidate acceptance, supported by an assignment audit log (114), a real-time notification dispatcher (115), a workload reporting and analytics module (116) and a centralised audit and governance dashboard (117) that delivers outcomes to the stakeholders (118)-(121). The present invention ensures real-time responsiveness to faculty unavailability, separation of eligibility determination from workload-balancing optimisation in a multi-stage decision workflow, transaction-level prevention of conflicting acceptance during simultaneous user interactions, equitable distribution of substitution duty, and centralised institutional governance with full audit traceability, as illustrated by the sequential method steps (201)-(221) of
