Abstract: The present invention relates to a dustbin with waste segregation and monitoring system. The system comprises a bin structure having at least one waste-holding compartment (104). An ultrasonic sensor (109) is mounted at an upper portion of the bin to continuously detect the fill level of waste relative to a predefined threshold. An infrared (IR) sensor (102) is positioned externally on the bin to detect the presence of a user or object approaching the bin. A lid (105) is mechanically coupled to a servo motor (106) which is electrically connected to a microcontroller (111), enabling automatic opening and closing of the lid in response to signals from the IR sensor. A moisture sensor (101) is disposed along a waste input path to classify waste as wet or dry. An internal segregation mechanism (108) is actuated by a servo motor (107) to direct the waste into corresponding compartments (104) based on moisture detection. A power supply unit (110) provides continuous low-power operation of the system.
