The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: A dual-unit smart wearable drowning detection and rescue system (100) comprises a wearable user unit (110) and a separate external communication unit (200). A microcontroller (130) evaluates a pressure sensor (121) and a motion sensor (122) in a time-based domain and a depth-based domain running simultaneously and independently, each passing through a drowning-suspected state and a drowning-confirmed state, confirmation in either domain alone initiating deployment. On entering the drowning-suspected state a gear motor (164) is enabled, so that a small pull on a manual pull ring (160) sensed by a capacitive force sensor (162) is thereafter power-assisted through a freewheel mechanism (163). An electromagnet (142) and a spring-driven striking hammer (143) independently drive a common puncturing nail (141) into a compressed gas cartridge (145), inflating airbags (151, 152). On resurfacing, an RF distress signal reaches the external communication unit (200), which broadcasts the alert over local WiFi.
