Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is a dual source electric vehicle charging system (100), comprising at least two power input units (102) having a first power input unit (104) receiving power from a photovoltaic source, and a second power input (106) receiving power from an electrical grid. The system (100) comprising a vehicle charging assembly (108) comprising a plurality of sensors (110) and a rectifier unit (112). The system (100) comprising a controller (114) comprising an input acquisition module (122) and a SoC estimation module (124). The controller (114) comprises a charging profile management module (126) to determine the appropriate charging stage. The controller (114) comprises a decision making module (128) to select between the first power input unit (104) and the second power input unit (106) and a switching control module (130) to dynamically update the selected power source and charging profile. The system (100) comprising a remote monitoring unit (120).
