Abstract: ABSTRACT A DUAL MODE TRIBOELECTRIC NANOGENERATOR (TENG) BASED ENERGY HARVESTING SYSTEM The present invention provides a dual mode triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) based energy harvesting system (100) comprising a rotating wheel setup (101) that is operated on a slider crank mechanism to facilitate in a controlled linear and rotational motion. Further one or more triboelectric nanogenerators (102, 103) includes a contact-separation mode based triboelectric nanogenerator (102) and a lateral-sliding mode triboelectric nanogenerator (103) for generating electricity from the linear and rotational motion. Further, a charge collection unit (104) is connected to the one or more triboelectric nanogenerators (102, 103) for harvesting the generated electricity. Furthermore, a power conversion unit (105) is configured to convert alternating current (AC) output of the generated electricity into direct current (DC) for at least one of a storage or an immediate utilization.
