The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dual impactor pneumatic impact testing machine for façade glass panels comprising a base frame (1), a tank (2), a compressor (5), a pressure gauge (4), a ball valve (3), a solenoid valve (6), a barrel (7), an attachment (8), and a safety chamber (9) formed using a sheet (10). The compressor (5) supplies compressed air to the tank (2), and the pressure gauge (4) monitors pressure. The ball valve (3) and solenoid valve (6) regulate and release compressed air into the barrel (7). The barrel (7) comprises an interchangeable configuration for a lumbar impactor weighing from 1 kg to 4 kg and spherical steel ball impactors weighing from 2 g to 8 g. The attachment (8) accommodates multiple spherical steel ball impactors. The safety chamber (9) encloses a glass specimen and contains glass fragments after impact. The system enables controlled propulsion of impactors for evaluating impact resistance and structural performance of façade glass panels.
