Inventor includes Abhijeet Kuber Godhade.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a door assembly mechanism (1000) for operating a door (100), particularly in a vehicle. The mechanism includes a main hinge (200) configured to pivot between a closed position and an open position, a hinge pin (300) housed within the main hinge (200), and a lock pin (400) operatively engaged with the hinge pin (300) and the main hinge (200). The main hinge (200) comprises an aperture (210) having a curved profile (212) and an extended profile (214) with a first wall portion (216) and a second wall portion (218), guiding the movement of the hinge pin (300). Rotation of the hinge pin (300) causes the lock pin (400) to transition from a locked position to an unlocked position, allowing pivoting of the main hinge (200) and movement of the door (100) to open and close.
