MUMBAI, India, Aug. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641095171 A) filed by Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha Institute Of Technology on August 06, 2026, for A Digital Media-Enabled Computer-Assisted English Language Instruction (caeli) System And Method For.

Inventor includes Dr. Sk. Rehena.

The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.

Abstract: A digital media-enabled Computer-Assisted English Language Instruction (CAELI) system and method are disclosed for enhancing English language proficiency and employability skills• of engineering students, including students from rural educational backgrounds. The system integrates, within a single coordinated instructional pipeline operable over a data network, a proficiency-assessment module, an employability-readiness assessment module, and a plurality of digital instructional modules comprising a collaborative discussion module, a multimedia lesson-and-formativc-assessment module, a reflective-portfolio module, a digital-storytelling module, a classroom-engagement-tracking module, and a gamified self-paced practice module. The method comprises administering baseline and post-intervention assessments, delivering an intervention through the integrated module set to an experimental cohort while a control cohort receives conventional instruction, recording classroom- engagement data, and computing, via a statistical-evaluation engine, paired-sample significance measures, correlation coefficients, and instrument-reliability coefficients on the resulting data. Experimental implementation across a cohort of 120 engineering students demonstrated a statistically significant increase in mean English-proficiency score from 12.4 to 21.8 (t = 8.72, p = 0.001) and mean employability-readiness score from 4.8 to 7.6 (t = 7.95, p = 0.002), together with measurable gains across speaking, confidence, communication, digital literacy, and technology adaptability. The invention provides an integrated, empirically validated, and reproducible instructional system architecture for closing the gap between academic English instruction and workplace communication requirements in engineering education.
