MUMBAI, India, July 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202111010449 A) filed by Dr. Pooran Chand; Dr. Raghuwar Dayal Singh; Dr. Sunit Kumar Jurel; Dr. Pranjali Dutt; and Dr. Jyotsna Vimal on March 12, 2021, for A Digital Iris Position Meter For Iris Positioning In Ocular Prosthesis.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a digital iris position meter for iris positioning in ocular prosthesis. The device is easy to use, comfortable to the patient and requires minimal skill on the part of the dentist and helps in achieving easy, predictable iris positioning with reduced chair side time. The invention provides digital approach to achieve an accurate, repeatable and easy positioning of the iris which could be achieved even by the new practitioners.
