Abstract: The present invention discloses a digital evidence management system for academic quality assurance in higher education, comprising a federated ingestion module coupled to institutional sub-systems, a criterion ontology store encoding NAAC, NBA, NIRF and UGC taxonomies, a metric-to-evidence linkage engine, an artificial-intelligence classification and de-duplication pipeline based on optical character recognition and natural language processing, a hash-chained tamper-evident evidence ledger, a role-graded approval workflow and an audit-package generator with public-database cross-verification. The system automatically binds every accreditation metric to its source artefacts, preserves the binding in an SHA-256 chained ledger with trusted timestamps and produces submission- ready Data Validation and Verification bundles reconciled against government databases. Technical advancement includes tamper- evident traceability and near-complete metric-evidence linkage, while economic advancement includes reduction of accreditation preparation effort from months to hours.
