Abstract: A device 100 to prevent accumulation of snow in zone of snow accumulation of a vehicle includes at least one underbody cover 102 located under the snow accumulation zone of the vehicle and having an opening 104; and a flap 106 pivotally fixed to the underbody cover 102 to keep the opening 104 closed. The opening 104 of the flap 106 results in snow accumulated over the at least one underbody cover 102 to fall down through the opening 104. The flap 106 is biased toward the closed position by a torsional spring 110, and when weight of the accumulated snow over the flap 106 exceeds a predefined limit, the spring 110 allows the flap 106 to move to the open position and the accumulated snow to fall off.
