MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641119015 A) filed by Angel Innov Solutions Private Limited on October 05, 2026, for A Device For Wound Healing Comprising Silver Nanoparticle-Doped Psyllium Seed Extract Polymer And Human Amniotic Membrane.
Inventors include Dhanalakshmi. K; and Raghu Babu Pothireddy.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to a wound healing device comprising a dehydrated amniotic membrane of human origin. The device is characterized by the presence of a polymer derived from psyllium seed extract containing silver nanoparticles prepared by green technology using the extract of Azadirachta indica (Neem). The silver nanoparticles are present in a fixed concentration of about 10 µg as determined by MTT assay and have demonstrated antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli as evidenced by zone of inhibition assay. The silver nanoparticle containing polymer is studied with the dehydrated human amniotic membrane. The device is for wound healing and has these advantages: It can be considered safe to use It is affordable, as it is mostly plant-based It has better antimicrobial properties and after treatment wound closure is about 75% in comparison to about 27-29% closure in a non-treated wound.
