Abstract: ABSTRACT A DEVICE FOR CONNECTING AC SUPPLY TO LOAD In an embodiment of a present invention, a device (100) for connecting AC supply to load is disclosed. The device (100) comprises a controller (102), a relay driver 5 (104), a relay (106) and an actuator (202). The controller (102) is configured to receive a user command from a user device. A relay driver (104) is connected to the controller (102). A relay (106) is connected to the relay driver (104). The relay (106) comprises a pair of conductive contacts with the AC supply and the load. The actuator (202) is connected to the relay (106). During an operation, the actuator 10 (202) is configured to provide a bypass path for switching the device between the “close state“ and the “open state” upon operative failure of one of the controller (102), the relay driver (104) and the converter (110).
