MUMBAI, India, Aug. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641016317 A) filed by Petyosa India Private Limited on February 13, 2026, for A Device And A Method For Physiological Monitoring Of Animals.

Inventor includes Parijat Verma.

The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a device (102) and a method for physiological monitoring of an animal. The device (102) comprises a sensor arrangement (104) including a radar sensor (104-2), an optical photoplethysmographic sensor (104-4), and an inertial sensor (104-6), a processor (106), a memory (108), and a communication module (110). The processor (106) derives radar-based and optical-based physiological estimates, classifies an activity state of the animal, and generates a fused physiological metric by combining the physiological estimates according to the classified activity state and corresponding signal-quality measures. The processor (106) computes a confidence score corresponding to the fused physiological metric and, when the confidence score does not satisfy a predetermined threshold, performs one or more adaptive compensation actions before generating a repositioning prompt. The processor (106) further compares the fused physiological metric with an animal-specific physiological baseline profile to detect physiological deviations and generates alerts corresponding to the detected physiological deviations.
