Abstract: ABSTRACT A DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING CORE BODY TEMPERATURE A device, system, and method for estimating core body temperature (CBT) are disclosed. The device (100) comprises a body (102) having a skin-contact surface (104), at least one thermal sensor (106) disposed at the skin- contact surface (104) to generate thermal measurement data comprising a skin surface temperature, and a processing unit (108). The processing unit (108) retrieves from memory a user-specific baseline skin-related thermal parameter and an associated baseline condition value, receives current condition data such as ambient temperature or perfusion index, determines a condition deviation from the baseline condition value, determines a dynamically corrected skin-related thermal parameter from the baseline parameter and the deviation, and estimates the CBT using a thermal model based on the thermal measurement data and the corrected parameter. A wearable device (300) may withhold or flag the estimated CBT until heat-flux data satisfies a thermal-stabilization criterion. The most illustrative drawing is
