Abstract: A deployable apparatus, system, and method for rescue and retrieval operations is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a segmented elongated body having a plurality of modular segments interconnected by articulating joints, enabling navigation of confined elongated spaces having non-linear, curved, or irregular geometries. A first deployable assembly disposed toward a distal end of the segmented body comprises at least one expandable element configured to transition from a compact insertion configuration to a deployed configuration, wherein the first deployable assembly engages an interior surface of the confined space to provide a support base below the subject. A second deployable assembly, disposed above the first, deploys laterally to provide overhead protection. An activation mechanism causes both assemblies to deploy, enabling safe retrieval of the subject. Figure 1 is the representative figure.
