Abstract: A density-adaptive thermal stimulation system (100) for variable-depth thermal energy delivery is disclosed. The system comprises a wearable substrate (110) configured to conformally contact a target body region, a density-sensing module (120), a variable-depth thermal emitter (130), and a hardware control unit (140). The density-sensing module (120) includes at least one bio-electrical impedance sensing unit configured to measure electrical impedance characteristics of underlying tissue and at least one ultrasonic transducer configured to determine subcutaneous tissue thickness using time-of-flight measurements. The hardware control unit (140) derives a tissue density parameter from combined impedance and ultrasound data and dynamically modulates operating parameters of the thermal emitter (130), including frequency and power level, to control thermal penetration depth. The system enables personalized, density-adaptive subsurface heating while limiting excessive surface temperature rise, thereby improving therapeutic precision, safety, and energy efficiency during wearable thermal stimulation applications.
