MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611086820 A) filed by Suresh Gyan Vihar University on July 15, 2026, for A Deep Learning Device For Autonomous Industrial Material Handling And Sorting Operations.
Inventors include Dr. Sohit Agarwal; and Dr. Arastu Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: A deep learning device for autonomous industrial material handling and sorting operations is disclosed. The device captures visual and spatial information from incoming industrial articles, classifies material categories through an embedded neural model, and coordinates robotic handling or conveyor diversion based on configurable sorting policies. The system integrates perception, processing, motion selection, feedback sensing, safety supervision, operator control, plant communication, and learning support. The device enables adaptive routing of mixed materials while recording operational results for controlled improvement of classification performance.
