Inventors include Vishal Deshewar; Deepak Pandey; and Ashish Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: A damper (100) for a vehicle suspension system includes a cylinder (102) with two closed ends and a piston assembly (104), which includes a piston (104A) and a piston rod (104B) allowed for linear movement. A cap (110) that includes an annular inner cavity (110A), is provided around the piston rod (104B) adjacent the piston (104A). A pair of semi-circular shaped magnets (108) is positioned within the annular cavity (110A) of the cap (110). The magnets take a circular shape, when joined by their opposite poles, around the piston rod (104B) and on an inner side of the cap (110) to prevent the metal particles from reaching lip of an oil seal by trapping the metal particles within the inner cavity (110A).
