Abstract: The present invention relates to A custom 4-channel RC communication system for fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles is disclosed, providing reliable, low-latency, and cost-effective wireless control. The system replaces expensive commercial RC units with an open, microcontroller-based architecture using Arduino Uno boards and nRF24L01 2.4 GHz transceiver modules operating in the 2.4 GHz ISM band. Dual-axis joysticks capture pilot inputs corresponding to aileron, elevator, rudder, and throttle control channels. The Arduino microcontroller processes these inputs, converts them into digital data, and transmits structured packets through a low-latency wireless link. At the receiver side, the Arduino decodes incoming packets and generates precise PWM signals for servo motors and an electronic speed controller (ESC), enabling accurate actuator control. The system ensures stable real-time response, improved communication integrity, and smooth flight control. It supports open- source modification, telemetry integration, and failsafe operation. The lightweight, low-power design makes it suitable for educational, research, and prototype UAV applications with enhanced performance and reliability.
