The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: A high precision current-mode Bandgap Reference (BGR) generator fabricated using 180nm CMOS process is described herein. The BGR is ideally suited for high performance low dropout (LDO) regulators. Current-mode generation of PTAT and CTAT currents along with optimal temperature compensation of first and residual second order temperature terms results in an extremely low temperature drift of the output reference voltage. High power supply rejection is realized using cascoded biasing and supply independent current mirror. The circuit generates a steady reference voltage of about 1.2V having a temperature coefficient of less than 0.3 ppm/°C from –40 °C to 125 °C and a PSRR of over 150dB at low frequency, using a few micro watts of power.
