The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a crankshaft sensor (100). The crankshaft sensor 5 (100) includes a carrier assembly (102), a casing (116), and a frame (104) defined with a recess (104a) and an integrated circuit (IC) provision (104d). The carrier assembly (102) further includes a plurality of crush ribs (104b), a magnet (110) and a pole piece (112). The magnet (110) is disposed within the recess (104a) and is secured by the plurality of crush ribs (104b). The pole piece (112) is disposed over 10 the magnet (110). An integrated circuit (IC) (124) is accommodated within the IC provision (104d). Additionally, the carrier assembly (102) includes a plurality of top ribs (104h) and a plurality of side ribs (104g), configured to receive and retain a body and a plurality of electrical leads (124b) of the IC (124). The crankshaft sensor (100) has improved concentricity to mitigate hard-edge offset and provide 15 better edge repeatability. Figure 2 is a representative figure.
