MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641074989 A) filed by Sr University on June 17, 2026, for A Cooperative Trajectory Planning System For Adas Using V2x Communication And Predictive Intent Modeling.

Inventors include Rajendar Kalvala; and Dr. Sridhar Chintala.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: A COOPERATIVE TRAJECTORY PLANNING SYSTEM FOR ADAS USING V2X COMMUNICATION AND PREDICTIVE INTENT MODELING The invention discloses a cooperative trajectory planning framework for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that integrates Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication with predictive intent modeling to enhance safety and coordination in dynamic traffic environments. The system collects real-time driving intentions, positions, and speed data from nearby vehicles and infrastructure, and employs an intent prediction module to forecast future maneuvers of surrounding agents such as lane changes, braking, and turning. A multi-agent trajectory optimization engine generates coordinated paths, while a conflict resolution module applies traffic rules and priority logic to resolve intersecting trajectories. The trajectory selection module chooses the safest and smoothest route, which is transmitted to the vehicle’s control unit for execution. An explainability layer provides transparent reasoning for decisions, and safety fallbacks ensure robustness under communication failures. By proactively anticipating multi-agent behavior and enabling cooperative planning, the invention significantly improves ADAS performance, reducing collisions, enhancing traffic flow, and ensuring smoother driving experiences.
