Abstract: The present invention relates to a cooling flap assembly (100) for directing airflow to drivetrain components of a vehicle. The cooling flap assembly (100) comprises a frame (103) mounted at a front underside end of the vehicle and comprising a plurality of flap recesses (123) extending therethrough, a plurality of flaps (105) seated within the plurality of flap recesses (123) and pivotably coupled to the frame (103), a pressure scoop (115) extending below a lower surface (115a) of each flap, and a plurality of torsion springs (107) coupled to the plurality of flaps (105). The pressure scoop (115) and the plurality of torsion springs (107) cooperate to pivot the plurality of flaps (105) between a first position and a second position in response to aerodynamic force generated by a speed of the vehicle.
