Abstract: A CONTROLLER TO PREDICT RANGE FOR RESERVE CAPACITY OF A BATTERY AND METHOD THEREOF Abstract The controller 110 configured to monitor parameters of the battery 104, a primary parameter comprising a relative SOC 202 of the battery 104, and a secondary parameter comprising a temperature and State of Health (SOH) of the battery 104. The controller 110, characterized in that, trigger learning of a first variable and a second variable for the battery 104 once the relative SOC 202 drops below a learning threshold value. The learning threshold value is configurable as per requirement and is based on the relative SOC 202. The controller 110 then predicts the range for the reserve capacity of the battery 104 based on the first variable, the second variable and the secondary parameters of the battery 104. The present invention provides accurate range which can be travelled with the reserve capacity of the battery 104.
