The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: A CONTROLLER TO DETECT ANOMALY IN A POSITION SIGNAL OF POSITION SENSOR AND METHOD THEREOF ABSTRACT A system 100 of a vehicle comprising a trigger wheel 102, the position sensor 104, and a controller 110 is shown. The vehicle comprises the position sensor 104 positioned/located in proximity to the trigger wheel 102 for position measurement. The position signal 106 is generated upon rotation of the trigger wheel 102. The controller 110 configured to receive a position signal 106 from the position sensor 104. The controller 110, characterized in that, configured to process the position signal 106 through a signal processing module 130. The signal processing module 130 provides output signal 126 after processing the position signal 106. The controller 110 then compares the output signal 126 with a pre-determined threshold value 128 and detects anomaly in the position signal 106. The present invention enables cost savings for being a logic/program based module that eliminates additional external sensors and saves the cost of manufacturing, integration, and maintenance.
