Abstract: Abstract The present disclosure proposes techniques to monitor a volume of fuel in a fuel-tank (2) of a vehicle. A control unit (1) monitors a volume of fuel in a fuel- tank (2) of a vehicle. Said control unit (1) configured to obtain a first volume of fuel filled inside the fuel-tank (2) for a pre-defined unit of time based on an input from the flow meter (3) and at least one sensor (7). The control unit (1) stores a fuel consumption history (6), receive a current fuel price from the user interface (5), receives a desired volume of fuel in the fuel-tank (2) from the user interface (5), determines a fuel-filling price based on the volume of fuel in the fuel tank, the first volume of fuel filled inside the fuel tank, the fuel consumption history (6), and the current fuel price.
