Abstract: Abstract A control unit for converting an input document into a structured document and a method thereof. The control unit 10 configured to receive the atleast one input document 12 via an interface 16 from a user of the control unit 10 and pre-process the atleast one input document 12 for parsing raw inputs using anyone of the pre-processing technique. The control unit 10 then detects text items and extracts the features from the parsed input document 12 using a feature extraction module 15 and predicts the text category by feeding the extracted features into a text classification model. The control unit 10 then groups same type of content present in the input document 12 based on the predicted text category and extracted features, for converting the input document 12 into the structured document 14.
