Abstract Disclosed are techniques control fuel supply in an engine implemented by a control system (10) comprising plurality of cylinders, plurality of pressure sensors (2a, 2b...2n) to detect pressures in each of said plurality of cylinders, said plurality of pressure sensors (2a, 2b...2n) comprising a first and a second pressure sensor to detect pressures in a first and a second cylinder respectively. At least one switching means (3a, 3b...3n) configured to select a signal from any one of the first and the second pressure sensor. The signal from any of the first and the second pressure sensor such that, the signal selected is from a High-Pressure Phase (HPP) of a combustion cycle of the Engine.
