Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of cybersecurity and particularly, to a computer-implemented system and method for context-aware multi-stage cyber threat investigation through dynamic investigation context management and adaptive evidence retrieval. The invention addresses the limitations of conventional SIEM systems that generate isolated security alerts requiring extensive manual investigation. The proposed system comprises functional modules for security event acquisition, event normalization, threat assessment, event correlation, investigation context management, investigation knowledge gap analysis, adaptive evidence retrieval, investigation priority evaluation, investigation report generation, and Security Operations Center dashboard presentation. The system continuously maintains an evolving investigation context by correlating security events, identifying investigation knowledge gaps, retrieving relevant cybersecurity evidence, evaluating investigation priority using contextual information, and generating structured investigation reports. The invention improves investigation continuity, reduces manual investigation effort, enhances contextual understanding of multi-stage cyber threats, and supports efficient cybersecurity investigation and incident response within enterprise Security Operations Center.
