MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641104864 A) filed by Meenu Maria Alexander; and Dr. Kishore Selva Babu on August 31, 2026, for A Computer-Implemented System And Method For Diagnostic Assessment And Adaptive Remedial Instruction Based On Foreign Language Learning Anxiety, Self-Efficacy And Linguistic Performance Analysis..
Inventors include Meenu Maria Alexander; and Dr. Kishore Selva Babu.
The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a computer-implemented system and method for diagnostic assessment and adaptive remedial instruction of foreign-language learners. The system comprises a data acquisition module configured to collect psychometric assessment data, linguistic performance assessment data, socio-demographic information and qualitative educational observations from one or more learner and instructor interfaces. A psychometric evaluation module and a linguistic performance assessment module process the acquired information to generate psychological and linguistic competency parameters. A diagnostic analytics engine integrates the generated parameters through computational analysis to produce a learner-specific diagnostic profile identifying language learning deficiencies and associated psychological barriers. An adaptive instructional recommendation engine automatically generates a personalized remedial instructional pathway by dynamically determining instructional sequence, learning pace, instructional intensity and delivery mode according to the generated diagnostic profile. The system further performs periodic reassessment of learner performance to update the diagnostic profile and modify the remedial instructional pathway based on observed learning progress. The disclosed invention provides an integrated computer-implemented framework for automated learner assessment, adaptive instructional recommendation and continuous performance monitoring, thereby improving personalization of foreign-language learning and efficient utilization of educational resources across diverse educational environments.
