The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method are disclosed for measuring and predicting higher-education students' behavioural intention towards adoption of generative AI chatbots, built on an extended Value-based Adoption Model (VAM) engine distinct from UTAUT-based prior art. Seven antecedent constructs (Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Enjoyment, Social Influence, Personal Innovativeness, Self-Efficacy, Perceived Technicality, Perceived Cost) are resolved through two mediating constructs (Attitude, Perceived Value) into an Adoption Intention construct. The system electronically collects multi-construct psychometric survey data and computes standardized structural path coefficients and bootstrapped p-values using a partial-least-squares structural equation modelling engine. An adaptive significance-testing and self-calibration module automatically excludes or down-weights statistically non-contributory constructs from a recalibrated Adoption Intention Index, illustrated by exclusion of Social Influence and Personal Innovativeness in a reduction to practice on 389 higher-education students in Uttarakhand, India. The recalibrated index and prioritized intervention recommendations are rendered on a dashboard, and the system self-adapts as new data is received.
