MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641076467 A) filed by Sr University on June 20, 2026, for A Computer Implemented Medical Image Denoising System.
Inventors include Nagaraju Panagnati; and Sreedhar Kollem.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: A COMPUTER IMPLEMENTED MEDICAL IMAGE DENOISING SYSTEM The invention discloses a deep learning based advanced denoising system for medical images of dental, breast cancer, and brain tumors. The system integrates transform based preprocessing using wavelet and Fourier transforms with a modified U Net architecture incorporating skip connections, residual learning, and spatial attention modules. Domain specific training on dental radiographs, breast mammograms, and brain MRI datasets ensures optimized denoising performance. The system produces high resolution, denoised images with enhanced contrast and preserved diagnostic features, outperforming conventional filtering and CNN only methods. The invention enables real time clinical deployment, improving diagnostic accuracy and reliability across multiple medical imaging domains.
