MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611099416 A) filed by Noida International University on August 17, 2026, for A Compression Therapy Safety Monitoring System With Dynamic Baseline Perfusion Response Module (dbprm) For Early Detection Of Peripheral Arterial Perfusion Compromise.
Inventor includes Chumdeno Tungoe.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention generally relates to monitors used in compression therapy for measuring peripheral arterial perfusion and more specifically to a Compression Therapy Safety Monitoring System (CTSMS) that incorporates a Dynamic Baseline Perfusion Response Module (DBPRM) for monitoring peripheral arterial perfusion during compression therapy. The invention provides for an individualized baseline physiological perfusion profile prior to use of a compression garment and continual or periodic comparisons of subsequent physiological measurements with the baseline profile in accordance with a Dynamic Baseline Comparison Engine. A Decision Processing Unit decodes the deviation from baseline, and triggers a Visual Perfusion Status Indicator to give an intuitive safety signal to healthcare workers. The present invention is directed to a compression monitoring system that is different from previously known compression monitoring systems, which focus on measuring either the compression pressure or level of
