Abstract: A composition for wound healing and method of synthesis thereof are disclosed. Said composition broadly comprises: a spidroin solution from Argiope argentata (about 96.15 mL); cetostearyl alcohol; stearic acid; an emulsifying wax; liquid paraffin; and phenoxyethanol. Said cetostearyl alcohol and said stearic acid are in a weight ratio of about 2:1. Said cetostearyl alcohol and said emulsifying wax are in a weight ratio of about 1:1. Said cetostearyl alcohol and said liquid paraffin are in a weight ratio of about 1.39:1. Said cetostearyl alcohol and said phenoxyethanol are in a weight ratio of about 2.1:1. The disclosed composition (and/or method) offers at least the following advantages and effects: is non-toxic; is biocompatible; improved antibacterial activity; and/or exhibits accelerated wound healing and overall tissue regeneration.
