Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a composition for enhancing pollinator attraction and improving pollination efficiency in agricultural crops. Effective pollination is fundamental to crop productivity, directly influencing fruit set, seed formation, and yield, yet existing attractants provide only limited and inconsistent results. The invention addresses this critical need by providing a composition comprising 2,6-dimethyloctanal and 3,5-dimethyloctanol, which exhibit a synergistic effect in attracting pollinators, particularly honey bees. The components are present in defined concentration ranges and may be formulated using a water-miscible organic solvent, followed by dilution in water for application, preferably by foliar spraying. The composition significantly enhances pollinator visitation and pollination efficiency compared to individual compounds and conventional attractants. Accordingly, the present invention provides a technically robust and scalable solution that improves crop productivity by ensuring effective pollination, thereby addressing a fundamental requirement in modern agriculture.
