Abstract: The present invention pertains to a composition comprising aloe vera gel powder for plant tissue growth and a method thereof. The invention provides a composition for plant tissue culture media, comprising 0.5-2% aloe vera gel powder, which includes 0.05-0.2% inositol and 15-25% maltodextrin, along with 2-4% sucrose, 0.2-0.6% agar, and plant growth hormones. The method for preparing the aloe vera gel powder involves collecting gel from aloe vera leaves, making a pulp, sieving it through muslin cloth, and adding 0.05-0.2% inositol and 15-25% maltodextrin. This mixture is then spray-dried to create aloe vera gel powder. To prepare the plant tissue culture media, 0.5-2% of this aloe vera gel powder is mixed with 0.2-0.6% agar, 2-4% sucrose, and plant growth hormones in water, producing a nutrient-rich medium suitable for plant growth. This formulation offers a cost-effective, plant-based alternative to chemical media for tissue culture, promoting efficient micropropagation of commercially important crops.
