Inventors include Dr. V. Chandrasekar; Er. Narni Vijaya; Dr. S. Akalya; and Dr. Sunil C. K.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a composition (100) and method for preparation of an instant coffee smoothie powder capable of being reconstituted with water or milk to form a homogeneous beverage having desirable physicochemical properties, reconstitution characteristics, rheological behaviour, sensory attributes, and volatile flavour characteristics. The composition (100) contains instant coffee powder (102), banana powder (104), oats creamer (106), sugar (108), dairy whitener (110), maltodextrin (112), whey protein isolate (114), guar gum (116), and silicon dioxide (118). The composition (100) forms a predominantly amorphous powder matrix with limited semi-crystalline domains and controlled particle dispersion for supporting water penetration and reconstitution. The composition (100) and preparation method that support small-scale and industrial-scale production through ingredient weighing, sequential blending, packaging, and storage operations while maintaining physicochemical and sensory properties under defined ambient and accelerated storage conditions.
